Guidelines for Writing

Here are a few things to remember in writing articles for The E&S:
1) A 1/2 page article should be approximately 225-250 words. This number can be scaled up for larger articles.
2) Pictures and graphics are an important element of your article. Please include at least one quality image for every 1/2 page. Also, include a caption for that image. To maintain quality standards for The E&S, it is important that all images have resolutions of 300dpi or better; otherwise, the images will look fuzzy in print.
3) Please submit pictures separately from the article itself. Do not include both in the same file, because they must be separated before they can be inserted into the layout package.
4) Skip only one space after all periods or colons. This is a standard for printed material.
